Anchor Building Workshopwith Jim Bitcon Tuesday, August 22, 2006 |
|
Date: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 Location: Jim will be hosting this workshop at James' Auto Dismantling, 8640 Antelope Road North, Antelope, CA. The location is off PFE Road, just west of Denio's Auction. (See the two maps below). Time: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM Jim has enough lead and space for about ten club members. He has been collecting old lead wheel weights, which will be melted down and poured into molds producing 10 lb. pyramid anchors which will keep you and your pontoon or float tube positioned where the fish are on both stillwater and streams. The only cost will be for the stainless steel eyebolts, fender washers, two nuts and two lock washers. The hardware will be provided and will probably amount to less than 3 bucks a person, if that. Don’t bring coins. Once Jim starts melting things, there is no telling what he might throw into the mix. By the way, a 10lb lead pyramid anchor retails for about $50, so this is a great deal! If you have any questions, contact Jim at 916-417-8772. There will be a sign-up sheet at the August General Meeting.
From I-80 and Antelope Rd. exit, go West and turn right on Antelope NORTH Rd.
