When: Sunday, February 11th
Time: 9:00am – Noon
Where: Gibson Ranch Pond (on Elverta Road near Watt Ave.) Please see the GBF website under any casting clinic for better directions.
What: Bring your Eye Protection (either sunglasses or prescription glasses), hat, rods, reels, lines, weights, and a snack or drink if you’d like.
This is a no cost clinic that will include:
This Clinic will familiarize you with various aspects of shooting heads and will help you make safer and more efficient casts.
We will have a few extra rods available for your use if you do not currently own a shooting head system. You can bring any and all the lines and weights you have. If you have any sink tips or shooting heads, that is our main objective: casting weighted lines.
The pond was planted with trout about 10 days ago. If you would like to fish after the clinic, please remember to bring your 2007 fishing license and your trout gear.

The clinic will start at 9:00 AM and last till noon. The clinic will take place at the pond in Gibson Ranch Park in Elverta. There will be no fee for this course which is available to GBF Members only, so if you haven't joined yet, be sure to do so before showing up! Directions: From I-80, take Watt Avenue north, turn LEFT on Elverta Road and RIGHT on Gibson Ranch Rd. to the County Park at 8556 Gibson Ranch Park Rd. OR: From I-5, take SR-70/99 north, exit RIGHT on Elverta Road east. Then LEFT on Gibson Ranch Rd. to the County Park at 8556 Gibson Ranch Park Rd. Our club has some excellent casters and trainers and I am sure you will enjoy the experience working with qualified instructors. You may also contact me, Sturmer White at (916) 791-2618.
