Shad Movie

Dan Brear

GBF Member Dan "The Shad Finding Man" Brear had a great outing on the American River this week.  Dan says: "The shad are here and I have a small video to prove it (caught near Paradise Beach, a 12 fish day within a couple of hours!)."

Details:

1. Rod: 8 wt. rod with a type 3 sinking tip line.

2. Fly: Red and Pink fluffy tail shad flies

3. Fishing buddy behind the camera: Joe Melendres of Davis 

4. Access to Paradise Beach: Park at Glen Hall Park then walk straight out to the river

5. Other: Fish were caught 6 - 9:00 AM

OK, I think I've fixed the problem with the movie set up. It works better as "public" access instead or "private". Play Dan's video on YouTube by clicking the play button in the center of the image below once or twice to play the 16 sec. movie.

 If you have problems with the link above, then click or copy and paste this URL address to your Browser address line and go to YouTube's website to display the movie.  I've changed it to "public" access, so this seems to make it work better.  This is something new for me and I'm still getting the hang of it...
