We have just scheduled a GBF Fishout for Burney Falls again in Sept.  For those of you who made it to the October ‘03 fishout led by Karl Wolf, you know what a great time it was!  For us, it was our first GBF Fishout and one of the best.

Rainbows and Browns are typically caught in September.  Some of the hatches include Salmon Flies, Golden Stones, PMDs, Green Drakes, Mahogany Duns, Sedges, Midges, Blue Winged Olives and Trico Spinners.

We will make our base at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park.  There are also motels in the town of Burney, about 10 miles away.  From our base, there are literally six or more quality waters:  Burney Creek, Hat Creek, Pit River, Fall River, McCloud River, Baum Lake, Manzanita Lake, and others.  There are also three fly shops with plenty of flies and information.
