Cameron Park Community
Services has invited GBF to fish Cameron Park Lake. We
honor the privilege and will comply by the catch &
release, barbless hook rules. Some parts of the lake
are heavy w’ weeds, but you can find pockets to fish,
otherwise the deepest part of the lake is thirty feet
and if you can find one of the six ‘bass hotels’
installed by Mike Denaga, you can find the largest
bass in the lake.
Fishing Strategy:
Shooting heads, intermediate or full
sinking line w' fly that are designed for bass, and pan
fish. (no trout in lake)
(Top water action may be later when the
water warms.))
Tackle: what you use from your
float tube w' min 8lb tippets to fight the weeds.
Gene Goss and Bill King will have some
flies if needed. We expect a sunny warm day but will
accept the afternoon winds.
We plan to start around 8:00AM to beat the wind.
However, arrive when you can and fish as much as you can
and enjoy the noon BBQ hamburgers & beans, bottled water
(bring you own beverage)
