Comments: |
The
East Fork of the Carson usually fishes well this time of
year. Fly patterns vary as do methods, depending on the
water, time of day, hatches, etc. Lakes are near by (1/2
to 1 hour), including Red/Caples/Blue/Silver Lakes, etc.
Cabins, campgrounds, and RV hook-ups are right there at
Carson River Resort or in Markleeville (2½ miles away)
and various spots along the river. Food is also
available in Markleeville. The weather should be nice
during the day and cold at night. If you plan on staying
in the cabins at the resort, make reservations early!
