1. Friday is World Monitoring Day, so if you want to learn/help with water quality and photo monitoring, you’re welcome!

2. Saturday morning the Friends of the South Fork Kings River is holding a river/road clean up, as part of the “Great Sierra River Clean Up” from Boyden Cavern to Roads end, about 16 miles. We last cleaned up the area in July 2009, but after August and Labor Day Weekend we like to do an end of the year follow up… nothing nearly as bad as the Upper American River is, it’s just litter. Participation is optional, of course.

Camping:

No reservations; 6 people and 1 vehicle per site; restrooms, drinking water

Sheep Creek: Open. On main road 1 mile west of village turnoff. 111 sites. $18/day.  Check board at campground entry to  confirm if GBF's campsite is #98 or alternate.
