For Rusty Bogers, outfitting and guiding is a culmination of a life-long dream. He spent countless hours as a boy in his hometown of Halliday, North Dakota, hunting and fishing. However, it was trapping that gave him his most intimate knowledge of wildlife. Watching movies about his childhood idol, Grizzly Adams, only fanned the flames of his intense desire to spend time in the outdoors learning as much as he could about nature.
In 1990, he took a huge step towards realizing his dream. He relocated to Buffalo, Wyoming. He began by working as a guide to gain valuable experience working with people. In 2000, he purchased an outfitting business, and his childhood dreams were coming true. Rusty was actually doing something he loved: spending his days in the wild, making other peoples’ dreams come true, working with horses and spreading his knowledge to others. Rusty states, “I enjoy the camaraderie of hunting and fishing with others and I guarantee nobody will outwork me or give you more effort to make your trip a reality.”
Rusty can truly say he is blessed. He loves his job. He has a supportive wife and a wonderful family. “All I can say is: ‘Grizzly Adams - eat your heart out!!’”
