Members' Night

Thursday, May 12, 2005

Each spring, we devote a general meeting for “Member’s Night.”  This May's meeting will be no exception and will be designed to inform the new members about the diversity of Granite Bay Flycasters. In lieu of having a speaker, the meeting is devoted to providing information on club activities, clinics, and services.  What we'll offer are display tables and members familiar with many of the club's activities.  This is a great opportunity for members, visitors and guests to see what the club is all about, so bring along a friend!

Members who have been around for several years also find benefit and pleasure by sharing their expertise with the membership.  Fly Tying, Knot Tying, Rod Building, Net Building and Rod making are just a few of the skills being displayed.

Members participating in community involvement including Conservation projects, the Salmon Egg program, Hatchery Docent program and the  Salmon festival will be on hand to give information on how to participate in these events.  The internal workings of the club; "The Leader" Newsletter, Library, Web site, and information on the board of directors will also be presented.   Come and join us for this informative evening.  Members’ Night also gives everyone time to visit with one another and share their stories and experiences. This event is always well attended. See you there.
